A roulette interface can show both a rectangular number grid and an oval wheel map. Those are two ways to organise the same outcomes, not two interchangeable definitions of adjacency. Confusing them makes a commentary error look like a game-rule dispute.
Crown Melbourne’s roulette rules, version 19.0 effective 10 April 2026, give a three-piece neighbours example around 17: 25, 17 and 34. The example establishes wheel position, not numerical closeness. The document also describes larger neighbours selections, depending on the table configuration.
Translate the graphic into a set
Start with the actual labels highlighted by the interface. A selection centred on 17 should not be described as 16, 17 and 18 merely because those numbers are consecutive. A table-grid graphic and a wheel graphic answer different questions. Write down the selected numbers before explaining the geometry.
For an abstract fair single-zero model, three distinct selected pockets represent three possible favourable outcomes out of 37: 3/37, approximately 8.11%. That calculation uses the number of distinct pockets, not their physical spacing. Any other three distinct pockets have the same combined probability under that model.
Coverage is not profitability
The example does not tell us the total amount committed, the distribution of chips or the net return. Three separate positions can require three stakes. Describing coverage without its cost creates a misleading comparison with one position, even if the probability arithmetic is correct.
Nor does physical adjacency establish that a sector is due to appear. The model assumes equal pocket probabilities. A graphic cannot establish a real wheel’s mechanical condition or prove a departure from that model.
A clearer creator overlay
For a casino influencer explainer, label the view as wheel order or table layout, list the highlighted numbers and keep the total stake visible. If the original footage crops out the control that selected the group, say that the group cannot be reconstructed confidently. This is a guide to reading the interface, not a recommendation to place a wager.
